Every so often I look back at some of the companies I’ve performed for. I’m still amazed how many different industries I’ve had the opportunity to entertain. My clients have included the American Bankers Association, National Mortgage Brokers Association, National Pest Management Association, National Dam Association, and many more. When I began doing corporate comedy put-ons, I quickly discovered that every large company had countless smaller ones working with them. The best analogy I have is that of the pilot fish swimming along a great white shark in a symbiotic relationship.

But even as I appreciate all the amazing companies and industries I’ve done, it got me to thinking about some of the ones that I haven’t. For example, I’ve never been asked to entertain the video game industry, despite my son single-handedly keeping them afloat. I’m a lifelong surfer, but I’ve never entertained a surfboard company. And I’ve never performed for morticians, although in fairness, I have yet to personally use their services on my own behalf.

In addition, the Crypto Currency business has yet to come calling, although I fear they would try to pay me in bitcoin. Also, their meetings are most likely held in some secret dark part of the web.

If there’s an industry I haven’t done, I love creating a new funny fake expert!

My website has a dropdown menu of the large, and not so large companies I’ve performed for. So, if you see anything else missing from my list, please let me know. I love doing new industries and I would like to fill in some of the gaps. So, if there’s any industry on my list or my wishlist that could benefit from having a funny fake expert for an upcoming conference, please give me a shout.

During the current situation I continue to offer both virtual and live shows. I have an excellent green screen studio set-up for virtual shows. And I’m vaxed and have been performing live shows since the late spring. There is no substitute for a live audience but I’ve figured out a number of techniques to make the virtual shows work almost as well. Here’s hoping we can move forward towards more live shows, but I’m ready for both.
